Beckenham Local Information

Beckenham is a popular leafy suburb and town on the
south east fringe of London, just 8 miles from London
Bridge, or 25 minutes by train. Yet it is only 4 miles from
some of the most unspoilt countryside surrounding
Farnborough and Downe, with the beautiful Kent Weald
merely a few miles further away.

The town itself is a thriving and lively community with history dating back
to pre-Roman times. The charming High Street offers many unique retail
outlets, restaurants and bars. The area boasts some of the boroughs top
primary and secondary schools and provides a wide range of leisure and
sporting facilities, parkland and open areas - all within easy walking
distance of the town centre. Beckenham also benefits from numerous
mainline stations, serving the West End and the City, plus the Tramlink
serving Croydon and Wimbledon.
